Aim and scopeChemSusChem is a journal of chemistry and sustainability, energy and materials, founded by the Societaà Chimica Italiana (Italian Chemical Society, SCI) and the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (German Chemical Society, GDCh), and published by Wiley-VCH on behalf of ChemPubSoc Europe. Contributions in ChemSusChem should cover research at the interface of chemistry and sustainability, including energy research, materials science, chemical engineering, and biotechnology. ChemSusChem is published monthly and contains Communications, Full Papers, Reviews, Minireviews, Highlights, Concepts, Book Reviews, and Conference Reports. Articles other than original research papers (i.e., Communications and Full Papers) are generally written upon invitation. However, unsolicited manuscripts are welcome, as long as they fit into the scope of the journal. Viewpoints, Correspondence, Essays, and contributions reviewing Web Sites or Databases are also occasionally featured. ChemSusChem does not publish manuscripts that have already appeared in other media, either in print or electronically. In addition, the authors must inform the Editor of manuscripts submitted, soon to be submitted, or in press at other journals that have a bearing on the manuscript being submitted to ChemSusChem.
