Course Description: This guide outlines six important steps that should be taken before preparing a scientific manuscript for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. It contains important information that will help you to write your manuscript and address the requirements of the journal, the editor, and the reviewers. Following these steps will ensure that your manuscript is considered for publication and will maximise the chance of acceptance of your manuscript

Course Description: This short course introduces the structure of a scientific manuscript, including lessons on how to prepare the Abstract, Introduction, Experimental, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References. Other parts of a manuscript that might be required when submitting it to a journal are also discussed, including Title Page, Keywords, Highlights, Figures, Tables, Equations, Acknowledgements, Statements, Supporting Information.

Writing a cover letter (coming soon)

Course Description: As an important part of the submission process, the cover letter is your first opportunity to make an impression. In this short course we discuss the different elements that should be included in a cover letter. Also included is a template that can be used to prepare cover letters that stand out and ensure that your manuscript reaches the peer-review stage.

Responding to editorial decisions (coming soon)

Course Description: A response letter is usually required after a decision has been made by the editor. In this short course we look at the different types of decisions that an editor could make and how to respond to these letters. this also includes a detailed lesson on how to respond to the reviewer comments.
